Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is characterized by one-on-one sessions with a therapist, usually over multiple visits, during which the individual and therapist build a relationship of trust. This gives ample time for individuals to engage in the process of healing, identifying new and healthy goals, gain self-awareness, self-esteem, and self-compassion. Ideally the therapist is able to tailor the one-on-one sessions to each individual’s unique needs.

Some of my specialties include:
Anxiety, Bipolar Disorders, Chronic Illness, Depression, Eating Disorders, Emotional Disturbances, Family Conflict, Grief & Loss, Immigrants & Refugees, Life Transitions, Mood Disorders, Narcissistic Personality Disorders, Oppositional Defiance, Parenting Issues, Peer Relationships, Personality Disorders, Relationship Issues, School Issues, Self-Harm, Stress, and Suicidal Ideation.

One-on-one sessions usually last 45-55 minutes.

Sometimes the difficult person is ourself. Sometimes we are the cause of our own pain. If we can step out of our own way, something astonishing may happen.
